Professor Evren Balta Joined the North South Futures Forum as Permanent Member

Professor Evren Balta, faculty member of the Department of International Relations at Özyeğin University, has joined the North South Futures Forum (NSFF) as a permanent member. The NSFF is a new global network that brings together more than 30 senior political leaders, policy strategists, and thinkers from over 20 countries to shape a progressive vision for multilateralism in a period of geopolitical upheaval. Under the auspices of Lars Klingbeil, President of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), the NSFF provides a space to rethink North-South cooperation and to develop new ideas for a fairer international order. The Forum’s first meeting was held in New York. Future gatherings are planned in different regions, with a strong focus on the Global South.

Professor Balta’s permanent membership in the Forum enhances Özyeğin University’s international visibility in global governance and international politics, bringing a critical and analytical perspective from Turkey to this high-level global conversation.
